Set External Monitor With Dell Help

If you are workaholic and cannot manage you day without working on your Dell computer or laptop, then you might be facing problems in switching between applications on your computer. A number of opened programs in a single Dell computer not only lowers down its performance but also confuses the user in interchanging between different application and programs. The easiest way to work on such situation is to setup another monitor so that you can work without any hassles.

If you have Windows 7 in your computer then you might need Dell help to connect another monitor with your computer. Majorly, there are two ways to setup additional monitor with your Dell computer. One of them is the Keyboard shortcut method.

The Keyboard Shortcut Method

Press Windows and P key together. You will get the following options. Select whichever is apt for you. You can also contact Dell help for better assistance.

1) Computer Only

You default computer’s monitor is selected in which the screen will be displayed.

2) Duplicate

Select this if you want the same image to be seen in both the monitors.

3) Extend

By choosing this option, you can move the Windows by dragging it to a new monitor.

4) Projector Only

If you want to use a larger screen to show the screen images of the primary monitor to secondary source, then select this option.
