How To Connect Dell Printer With Mac?
Before you start connecting your Dell printer with your Apple computer, make sure that you have updated software. The Apple software also contains the necessary updates for connecting printers. If you are trying to install an old Dell printer, then check for any paper jam or low ink. Repair these issues and then initiate the connection process.
As per the Dell Printer Support, there are various ways to connect your Dell Printer to your Mac computer. Some of the basic connection process is mentioned below.
Through USB
Connect the USB cable of your Dell printer to your Mac computer.
Open any file that can be printed. On the top, you will see a menu bar. Select File and then Print.
In the next dialog box, check if your system is able to recognize your printer automatically.
Otherwise, click on Add a Printer and add your Dell printer to connect with your computer.
Once you have added your Dell printer, try to print any file again. Now, your printer will be a part of the list. Select your printer and click on Print.
Through Network or IP
Before, you try to connect your Dell printer, make sure that you know the IP address and Host name of the printer. Select LPD as the protocol and enter the Host name and IP address. The name, location and Printer using option will be filled automatically. Click on Add Button. Now, your printer will be a part of the printer list. Select your printer and try to print.
